
Jeroen Delmotte holds a masters degree in Sociology (Labour and Organisational Sociology) of the University of Leuven (K.U.Leuven), Belgium. He started his career as a researcher at the Higher Institute of Labour Studies (HIVA), a research institute of the K.U.Leuven. Between 2003 and 2007, he worked as a PhD-student in the Research Centre for Organisation Studies of the K.U.Leuven. He became Doctor in Applied Economics in 2008 with a doctoral dissertation titled: “Evaluating the HR function: empirical studies on HRM architecture and HRM system strength”. Jeroen has more than 10 years of experience in both policy-oriented and fundamental scientific research. His research focuses on 3 expertise domains: the relationship between HRM and firm performance, HRM System Strength and HR Outsourcing.
On top, Jeroen combines extensive quantitative and qualitative methodological know-how with strong practical experience with regards to the development and validation of diagnostic instruments. At iNostix, he is the expert in the development of scientifically based analytic tools. Jeroen combines his iNostix passion with his job as senior researcher at the Policy Research Centre ‘Work and Social Economy’ (K.U.Leuven). Jeroen has published in several journals and magazines around the world. In 2007 he won (with his K.U.Leuven-colleagues) the prize for best conference paper for research on the HRM System Strength Subject at the 5th international conference of the Dutch HRM network in Tilburg.
